ET4101 series gigabit interface converters meet the Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) Specification Rev.5.5. The converters can be inserted or removed from a host chassis without removing power from the host system. The converters are ideally suited for Fiber Channel Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL) and Gigabit Ethernet applications, but can be used for other serial applications where high data rates are required.
