3back to Prysmian Products home

 Compact Joint

This joint is ideal for use as a cable chamber, track or spur joint due to its capacity and compact size. It has a maximum splicing capacity of 144-fibres, which equates to 12 fibres on each of the factory fitted splice trays. The joint base has six 22mm ports, allowing up to six cables to be spliced together.

 Aerial Compact Joint

This product is identical to the Compact Joint (above) except it is supplied with a bracket for mounting on to poles for aerial network installations.

 Compact Node

For ready access applications in the external optical fibre network where Sirocco blown fibre cables are spliced (to traditional or blown fibre cables). The joint is fitted with a pressure relief valve, to prevent accidental pressurisation during blown fibre installation. It is supplied with 12 single circuit splice trays and sufficient components for installing one cable, enabling the breakout of up to 24 fibres (dual fibre circuits) to customer drop cables. Blown fibre distribution cables can be installed using OAsys blown fibre cable entry kits.

 Splitter Compact Joint

This product has been designed specifically for FTTp PON network architectures. The product houses up to four OAsys 1x8 Splitter Assemblies which enables cables (or blown fibre tube) to be installed and spliced to splitters for the distribution of up to 32 customers on a single fibre per customer basis. It is supplied with a 1x8 Splitter Assembly pre-installed and sufficient components for the installation of one input cable. Expansion product are then available to allow up to four splitter assemblies to be inserted into the joint.

 Generic Straight Joint

U sed for "easy access" applications within the external optical fibre network or at the interface with the exchange/central office, allowing two loose tube cables to be spliced together. The majority of optical cable constructions can be accommodated. OAsys splicing modules are pre-fitted, accommodating up to 12 spliced fibres per tray. The joint can be upgraded to include additional cables and splices using OAsys joint upgrade kits.

 Generic Loop Joint

Allows a continuous loop of optical loose tube elements from a cable mid section to be stored within the joint closure for later breakout of fibres to connect to customer drop cables. This is achieved using OAsys joint upgrade kits and OAsys accessories. The unused elements are stored in a loop manager, avoiding splicing but allowing easy access to all elements.

 Generic Blown Fibre Joint

A joint used where blown fibre cables are installed and need to be spliced. It is fitted with a pressure relief valve to prevent accidental pressurisation of a sealed closure during blown fibre installation. The joint is supplied without splice trays and accessories, and can be configured using an OAsys joint upgrade kits, general accessories and blown fibre accessories.

 ESDF4 In-Line Joint

An underground joint suitable for direct burial and underground chamber applications. It is used for jointing and branching optical cables, having a total capacity of 72 fibres. The joint is supplied with six splice trays (each managing up to 12 fibre splices). Cable entry glands, splice protectors and mounting brackets are ordered separately to suit the application requirements.

 ESMF7 Mechanical Seal Joint

Used for straight, branch and loop applications, available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit the application requirements. Two cap sizes are available to maximize space utilisation (small cap for lower fibre count configurations, greater capacity using the larger cap).
