62.5µm Multimode System

AMP NETCONNECT offers 62.5/125µm cables with an advantage. Common FDDI-grade 62.5/125µm will only support Gigabit Ethernet to only 220m at 850nm - too short for the allowable cabling distance. However, instead of upgrading to an expensive single-mode solution or adding 50/125µm fibre to an existing plant, you can use the AMP NETCONNECT 62.5/125µm products to go the full 300m distance, while still supporting all legacy applications to the distances supported by the 62.5/125µm fibre
